Huck the Duck

A quick post about our family duck Huck.

The story of how we have a pet duck is rather a sad story. About four months ago, we were driving up to some relatives house for a special occasion. On the way there, about half way to be exact, there was some commotion up on the road ahead. It was a family of ducks that had started to walk out in the middle of the freeway, unfortunately all of Huck's siblings were hit. When driving past, my father realized that one of them was still moving and so he slowed down, in the middle of the freeway and stopped traffic to catch this little baby duck that had survived. He brought him into the truck and from then on we had a pet duck. We did try and release him at a nearby pond where there are other wild ducks. He flew off and we thought we would never see him again, but to our surprise, here he comes swimming up to us and stayed with us never going back towards the other ducks and so we took him back home. He lives with us still happily.

Kasumii Pokemon Trainer Card

A while ago, I made a set of Pokemon Trainer cards for my family members. I also made one for myself to use for Deviant ID on Deviant Art. I couldn't put it up for a log time because I put my age as 18, but that hasn't been true up until a week ago. So I put it up finally and thought I would put it here as well.

It is mostly blue, the person is the same person from my "Froslass Gijinka" just with changed colors. The Pokemon featured on it are some of my favorites of all time, they include; Lumineon, Dragonair, Kirlia, Sunflora, Vaporeon, and Skitty. Almost all of it except for the pictures of the Pokemon, the Pokemon sprites, and the Badges are original, I made it completely on Paint. I tried to make it with the best Japanese that Google Translate could offer, I also looked at a real Japanese trainer card from one of the games for references.

Here it is:

Here are some pics I took while I was waiting to get picked up from school last Wednesday. We went out for my birthday to a lighthouse themed pizza placed.

Birhtday Gifts

My Birthday was on the 28 of September. I had college that day (my five hour long class from 5:00 - 10:00), so I didn't really get to do much for my birthday then. I did get a couple of gifts.

First, I got a week ago from my parents, Pokemon: Soul Silver Version. I was originally going to buy it for myself but I was waiting for someone to pay me back twenty dollars so that I could afford it, but my parents ended up buying it for me anyways.
I also received $20 from my aunt, which I spent on a pure silver coin.
Yesterday, I received a BLUE!!! tee-shirt with a panda on it from my other aunt.

Here is a picture displaying what I got during my Birthday Week.

The other items in this picture are the card that I got from my aunt that had the $20 in it. The new issue of Shonen Jump, along with the extra Yu-Gi-Oh card that it came with and the two other bonus cards that came with it for subscribing (I have been getting this magazine for about four months now, but I had to wait for the bonus cards for a a really long time, I included this in the list of presents because I got it in the mail on the day of my birthday!) There is my Nintendo DS playing the new Pokemon game. The Silver Dollar coin as well as a Gold Dollar coin with president James Buchanan on it that I got from my father. The PokeWalker that came with the Pokemon game. Finally, a few Asian themed items that I bought for myself yesterday at a thrift store.

Since I couldn't go out to dinner with my family on my actual birthday, we decided to go to a nice pizza restaurant in Santa Barbara on Wednesday. It was really good pizza and we had a seat right in front of the restaurant with a big window looking out to the beach, a few times people walked past and were just staring at us eating, it was really weird. And I still was able to get home in time to watch my ghost shows!

On Saturday we are going to go down to Santa Barbara again to do some things for my birthday. We are going to go to a park and have a lunch (It might be a barbecue). Than we are going to go to a really cool botanical garden. On returning home, we will have cake for me and family will be there. Looking forward to it.!
